How to use the GPX viewer
Drag any .gpx file onto the box above, or click to browse for one. The route is drawn on the map instantly, and you get the total distance, duration, average and top speed, and elevation gain where the file includes it. Because everything is processed locally in your browser, your file — which can reveal where you live — never leaves your device.
What is a GPX file?
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is the open, universal format for GPS tracks and routes. Almost every tracking app and sat-nav can read and write it. Learn more in our guide on what a GPX file is and how to open one.
